Moving to New York City
Why did you move to NYC
I moved to Paris because I wanted a change in my life and to experience something completely new. I moved to Paris in February of 2012 during four months (yes, that’s how the blog name came about) to study French. After my four months were up and I returned to Sweden I couldn’t get Paris out of my mind and decided to move back in January 2013.
Do you have any tips for someone wanting to move to Paris?
You’re more than welcome to have a look under the category “Moving to Paris” here on the blog where I’ve gathered all my suggestions on this topic in one place. The posts are quite old but still might be able to help!
Can I move to Paris even though I don’t speak French?
Anything is possible, even moving to Paris without speaking a word of French. When I came to Paris I couldn’t speak a word of French and so far, I’m still managing over here. Of course it’s a huge plus to be able to make yourself understood but I’m convinced that this is something you can pick up either but studying the language or hanging out with French people.
Where did you study French?
I studied French at a school called Accord. - Read more -

Where should I stay while in New York?
If you’re visiting for a shorter amount of time as a tourist I would say that staying in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th arrondissement (but I recommend staying off the Champs-Élysées) would be convenient but this of course depends on what you’re looking to do while in Paris. New and cool neighbourhoods that more and more visitors like to explore are also the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and the 17th for example. I personally don't know a lot about Montmartre (18th) but of course this is a place that people like to explore most of the time as well. I would recommend doing your research before deciding to see what area suits you the best. - Read more -
