I have been ransacking through New York the past few days trying to get my last minute Christmas gifts for my family and my close friends. I've finally gotten done with my holiday cards and have sent almost all of them out (thank goodness!), but haven't wrapped up my Christmas shopping and frankly I'm getting a little nervous. I usually, many weeks in advance, create a spreadsheet where I search for really special items that I think people will absolutely love for holiday... that didn't happen this year. I've been so busy with work lately; I know I keep saying that, but it's the absolute truth. My priorities have been all over the map, but I'm determined to get back into a routine of posting on the regular.
For these last minute holiday errands on the street and around town, I have been living in my Common Project Sneakers, leather leggings and oversized knits. They are comfortable, easy to wear and easy to layer with since the weather is cold, but not too cold. I ended up working all weekend, so this is me running around on the Upper West Side, going to a new cafe to get this installation finished that has been consuming my life for the past week. As you can see by the odd mixture of flash, no flash and blurry photos- my lens decided to go to lens heaven, so I had to stop at B&H and get a new 50mm 1.2 lens... Happy Christmas to me!
What is everyone doing for holiday? Would love to hear all of your plans- whether you are jetting off to some tropical locale, cozying up with hot cocoa and peppermint bark with family or just laying low with friends. I'm in New York this week, traveling to DC this weekend to see Andrea Bocelli (yay!), heading to Austin next week for work then back with family in Raleigh for the rest of December. My, my what a year of traveling I've had!
