Both my quarter and my year ended on 12/31/2014 for Coco Zaza, and I had a banner quarter. Quite frankly, I think it was my best quarter ever (out of two), thanks to the stalwart efforts of my photographers and their persistence in shooting me, which is not necessarily an easy task, as I sometimes just stand there and gaze at birds and most of the time do not know what to do and then I just repeat the same pose, you know the pose, in all my photos, which makes my blog slightly uninspiring, but thanks so much for sticking it out. Suffice to say, we all have a lot of skin in the game here, with all the work it takes to keep a blog going, so you should trust me when I say that I am excited that it's a new year and a new opportunity to offer up new features to all of you in the coming months.
I have decided to end my year at the end of December to keep things easy, as if a fiscal year provides some obsolete challenge that is different than a calendar year. But seriously, F that fiscal calendar! When holiday happens, it's time to celebrate and by celebrate I mean closing out the year with a big bang to include: a Coco Zaza piñata (do you know how difficult it is to find a piñata of Coco Zaza? Take my word on it), mini cupcakes (you're not allowed to touch a real-sized cupcake, for obvious reasons), and renditions of "Girl on Fire" by Alicia Keys (on a karaoke machine which I've owned since 1992).
All my readers are encouraged to submit questions by email to me at, firstname.lastname@example.org; if I get enough questions and of enough quality, I will start a new quarter end conference email in which I promise to cuss out* any readers that ask pesky questions. As a preface, let me just say that my own lifestyle posts have been an unmitigated success. I feel great about my first two quarters of having my blog, I am so proud to have delivered value of unapologetically self-absorbed photos of myself, my outfits that put me in poverty, and writing that may or may not have taught you something that you didn't previously know about life (or me), and so, I will continue to build on my resume to come back and share stories with you.
I loved shooting this editorial. My best friend shot it when she came to visit my folks in the forest and we rummaged through the fields in search of the perfect shot. We both fell in love with the first photo- it reminded us of a western film when the girl is staring off into the sunset, holding up her household, waiting for her man to ride his horse back home. Naturally, my western film will feature me wearing Issa. I'm sure you're all busy starting off your New Year; I know I have been underwater with work, but happy 2015. Grab an Issa dress if you happen to be in London! They are so easy to wear and pack like a dream!
Coco wears an Issa London Printed Dress, Franco Sarto D'Orsay Flats (my favorite if you haven't noticed and they were under $30 thanks to Amazon!), Max Mara Leaf Cuff, Vintage Earrings
