I love leopard print. I can't tell if it's because I am emulating Carine Roitfeld or Mrs. Robinson when I wear it, but regardless, it's always been one of my favorite prints. However we choose to think about it, leopard is one of those prints that always circulates and finds its way back into the mix of fashion every few years. Designers across the map from Charlotte Olympia to Miu Miu to Isabel Marant have stepped up with animal print accessories this season; it's the perfect way to add some panache to your wardrobe, without being overly overstated. I think that many would say that this is a moment in time when fast-fashion is dominating the ropes of trend and companies like Zara and H&M are finding ways to usher in a new type of fashion with all these rapid designer collaborations of sorts.
I've gotten some complaints lately that my clothes are too expensive and I'm not doing a good enough job at showing more looks from the high street. Therefore, a fews days ago I went on a very fun shopping adventure to my local Forever 21 and found a few goodies that I have incorporated into my daily looks. I actually adore this little slip dress, as it makes me feel as if I am in pajamas and about to go to a festive pajama party where I can run around and have a pillow fight, while I am jumping on a bed... either that or Mrs. Robinson about to go meet my lover at a Mid-Century Modern Hotel with my fur cape, poisonous perfume and bourbon... in secret, naturally.
And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson.
